SmartHome Weather

Be aware of environmental data around and inside your home. The system consists of two units, one for monitoring the outside weather and another measuring the environment inside your home.

Inside weather unit

The SmartHome inside weather unit is all you need to monitor the environment in your home. It provides real-time indication of the temperature, humidity and air quality in your living space.

Graphical Heat Map:
By integrating with the SmartHome base station, the inside weather unit allows you to view graphical heat maps of air quality parameters in your home.

Automation:
Using the SmartHome base station, you can configure and program custom behaviours, actions and alarms for air quality in your home.

Specifications:

Outside weather unit

The outside unit measures temperature, humidity and wind speed and wind direction. Data is transferred to the base station via WiFi for storage and visualisation.

This project is being undertaken by UQ ITEE student William Edwards under the supervision of Dr Alex Pudmenzky.
