In collaboration with UQ Property and Facilities, UQ SmartCampus is currently developing a smart device to track the performance of ride-on mowers on campus. The movements of several mowers will be tracked wirelessly and displayed on a map in real-time and values derived from these GPS locations such as fields serviced, travel time, mowing time and petrol consumption will be made available to maintenance staff via a web-app.
This project is being undertaken by UQ ITEE student Jordan Holder under the supervision of Dr Alex Pudmenzky.
